This girl's story makes you appreciate every moment you have, as the sign she's holding in one of the pictures says, "Every breath counts." Her life and strength is an inspiration. I wanted to repost this from one blogger to another, in memorium of someone we can all learn something from.

Hamlet for the Shakespeare-Impaired

Hamlet for the Shakespeare-Impaired

So I am currently reading Hamlet for my ENG200 class. Yes shocking! I am actually doing homework! Even though this is My Daily Procrastination Blog, I thought this website was awesome and I had to share it! I actually do pretty well with Shakespeare surprisingly, I guess I've read enough of it over the years that between it and the footnotes I manage pretty well most of the time. But I was a little hazy about one passage in the opening scene of Hamlet. The guards were talking about a duel that had gone on with Fortinbras and that now they were patrolling so much and increasing the armament because it looked like he was going to attack to get some land that he wanted since he had been raising an army on the sly for that purpose. But I wasn't clear if he was trying to get Hamlet's inheritance or if Hamlet had taken his inheritance or what so I looked for a website that translated Shakespeare into more plain English to hopefully clarify this section. So I found this site and while the author clearly takes a few liberties to make it a little funnier it is very enjoyable and it does make it a lot clearer but having read the first section it is still pretty accurate so it worthwhile source. I got a laugh out of it. So my fellow Shakespeare and English Majors should enjoy this site.

Remote Kontrol!

This is SICK! I loved this performance! These guys have got such talent its unbelievable! Loved it!!!

Alex & Twitch - Hip Hop In High Def!

When I saw that Alex the ballet dancer got Twitch as a partner for Hip Hop, I thought the performance was going to be a disaster. But this performance was FREAKING AWESOME!!!! Even though Alex is amazing I would never have expected a hip hop performance like this from a ballet dancer. But he just blew all preconceived notions out of the box and showed everyone just how incredibly talented he really is! I freaking love Twitch too so I was so happy to see him back on the show as an allstar this season so this performance was out of this world!

SYTYCD Special - Cristina w/ Pasha & Anya

I commend those girls for dancing in heels like those especially at that speed. The song though seems weird to me. I don't remember that being the song playing when I watched this originally. I wonder if they changed it for Youtube sometimes they have to for copyright reasons but maybe I am just remembering wrong...

Jeanine and Jason - If It Kills Me

A great routine by Travis Wall!

Kayla and Kupono - Addiction

So I am totally addicted to this show! I love this routine! Mia Miachael's is one of my favorite choreographers on this show. I love this song and between her choreography and the dancers performance it was perfect! I love it! One of my favorites from the show.

Miley Cyrus - When I Look At You

Love this song!! This was good movie too. Although my sister and I laughed our asses off through the sadest part of the movie because there was a girl sobbing so hysterrically in the front of the theater that you could hear her in the back of the theater where we were sitting. There was a little boy in our aisle and he started laughing at her because he couldn't help it because it really was funny. Which got his Mom and her friend going. Which then got my sister going which then got me going. We were like the bad kids at the back of the class we were trying to stop laughing but we couldn't help it. Her sobbing was really over the top. But Mom and son who were laughing annoyed the people in front of them to the point that they turned around and were like, "You are being rude and disrespectful. Someone just died!" The Mom who was laughing was like, "Its only a movie." Afterward we were in the bathroom and the sobbing girl came in and she was STILL sobbing and she was on her cell phone with someone telling them about it, she was like, "That was the saddest movie I have ever seen!" My sister and I were crying alright but it was from laughter, it is still a running joke between us. One of these days I will have to watch it again so I can properly enjoy the ending but I may be ruined forever I may always giggle a little when I think of that night cause it was one of my most memorable experiences at the movies.

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE - Final Theatrical Trailer

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE - TV Spot "Something New"

I just get more excited every day!!

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE - TV Spot "Missing"

This looks pretty cool! The only part that looks a little cheasy is when Alice jumps over the wolf she looks like a barbie doll. Why did they bend her legs and arms like that? I don't think someone would jump like that, I'm sorry, it looks a little dumb.

Black Bird Drama CD - Track 01 (Part 2-2)

Part 2 of the Drama CD of Black Bird.

Black Bird Drama CD - Track 01 (Part 1-2)

My new obsession! ^_^ Love this manga!! I read the first two last night. I read the first one so fast it literally made me dizzy! lol I had to go out and by the next two tonight because I had to know what was going to happen next. Now comes the hard part waiting for Viz to release the next one. Please don't let it be like Genbu Kaiden which is taking forever to come out. -_-' I know that Yu Watase has been sick so I imagine that has been part of the hold up but I really hope they release more of that series soon this is torture! This series though is really good so it easing my sadness some, but it is reminding me that manga's are an expensive habit at $9.99 a pop! This one would make a really cool anime so would Genbu Kaiden I hope they make them into one sometime. But the drama CD combined with the manga art is still pretty cool. I wish I spoke Japanese that is one language I would really like to know. Mainly so I could read and watch anime and manga! lol

Psychopomp

Psychopomps (from the Greek word ψυχοπομπός (psychopompos), literally meaning the "guide of souls") are creatures, spirits, angels, or deities in many religions whose responsibility is to escort newly-deceased souls to the afterlife. Their role is not to judge the deceased, but simply provide safe passage. Frequently depicted on funerary art, psychopomps have been associated at different times and in different cultures with horses, Whip-poor-wills, ravens, dogs, crows, owls, sparrows, cuckoos, harts and Yamatoots.

In Jungian psychology, the psychopomp is a mediator between the unconscious and conscious realms. It is symbolically personified in dreams as a wise man (or woman), or sometimes as a helpful animal. In many cultures, the shaman also fulfills the role of the psychopomp. This may include not only accompanying the soul of the dead, but also vice versa: to help at birth, to introduce the newborn child's soul to the world (p. 36 of [1]). This also accounts for the contemporary title of "midwife to the dying," which is another form of psychopomp work.

Possession (2002) - trailer

Watched this tonight on Netflix. I was in the mood for a period romance something a little tragic prefferable since I had a somewhat depressing day today. I saw it at AMC back in 2002. It is a really good movie. I love poetry, writing, love stories, history, and this movie has all of that. I evny the main characters. I would love to have a job like their's some day.

Amazing Hypnosis Makes You High

I promise there is nothing that will scare you or anything like that in this video. But it is really cool. It will make your vision go wonky for a couple of seconds if you do what it says and look at something across the room.

This Blog

Ok soo I should be writing my paper right now on Cormac McCarthy's "The Road" but as usual I as screwing around on the internet instead of working on it, and getting in my daily dose of procratination. Now usually when I find something interesting, that I want to share online, I've been sharing it on my Twitter page, or on my Facebook page, which are fine, but they both have their own problems. They both usually cause further procrastination because I am usually so busy looking at what everyone else has posted that it takes me even longer to get back to what I should be doing. But they also both give you limited space so if I want to comment at all about what I am posting I am just SOL so I decided if I wanted to be able to actually comment on what I am posting then I am going to have to start a blog so that is what I am doing. The summer is about to start anyway, so I should have ample time to screw around and gab on the internet anyhow so what better time to start one. I may still share some things on my other pages too. But I will reserve the more extensive commentary for here. If nothing else I can always direct people to check out my blog if I feel the need to share my rant more extensively. I don't know if anyone will ever read this, maybe they wont, but if not if will still be here for my own enjoyment. It has come in handy before. I started a quote blog a year or so ago and I ended up using a couple of the quotes for a class this semester so it ended up coming in handy. I no longer have the book that I quoted and if not for the blog I wouldn't have been able to come up with the quote when I needed it so even if I am only talking to myself I guess it may someday have its uses. As the blog title suggests it helps me get in my daily bit of procrastination. :) If you are out there reading this I hope you enjoy it or it helps you out somehow someday.
